I know this is a really old comment but I really felt the need to point out that there isn't really any reason why she needs to find a straight guy? Since he dated her, there is a good chance that he is bisexual. Also, depending on how long the relationship went on for, it might not be easy for a person to quickly "just get over it". You are right, no one can force someone to be straight or to love someone, but no one forced him to date someone he didn't love.
