Today, I found out why we've had to replace 3 washing machines this year. My sister thinks that "huge capacity" means "load the washing machine until no more clothes will fit." It blows the motor every time. She's 31. FML

Wow! She's a special kind of stupid isn't she? Make her read the instruction manual next time. Jesus.

So does she fill her mug with coffee till it's overflowing? She's 31, it's time to grow up. Make her pay for it. She will understand real quick what the problem was

She sounds like the reason they put those do not eat labels on some soap and shampoo these days.

Maybe you should make her use a laundrette so when she breaks the machine there she will be charged and hopefully that will make her learn her lesson. Other than that buy a smaller one next time so she is forced into not cramming it full

You could possibly be just as stupid as OP's sister. Do you really think she wouldn't stuff a smaller machine a full as she can?

Wow. I hope you taught her and she bough a new one herself.

Install a coin operated thing on your machine and make sure it takes only 20's so when it happens again she is paying for it. Would also deter her from using machine at 20's a load. Don't forget to put in a "FILL TO HERE" line.

Surely if she has to pay per load, she'll want to put more in each load, so that would make the problem worse. I completely fill the washing machine when I do laundry, and it doesn't break. I guess because it's a huge industrial machine (it's for the whole apartment building.) I'll have to bear this FML in mind when I move somewhere else and get my own, probably-worse-quality washing machine.

To be FAIR, a lot of people have no idea how to work electronics and/or appliances. From working in big box electronic stores, I have stories you wouldn't believe happened with negligent customers. Annnnnd that's why you get accidental coverage.

That reminds me of one time when I was watching Judge Judy - They had a defendant on there who said she didn't know that you shouldn't put metal in a microwave oven, and she also didn't know that tin foil was a metal.

You're kidding, right? What did you think tin is?

83- tin is made of plastic and unicorn hooves. Obviously.
