Today, I found out why we've had to replace 3 washing machines this year. My sister thinks that "huge capacity" means "load the washing machine until no more clothes will fit." It blows the motor every time. She's 31. FML

Today, after spending $300 replacing a dryer and getting the vents cleaned out when our tenants complained their clothes weren't getting dry, my husband and I realized that it was actually the washing machine that was broken. FML

Today, I noticed that my clothes had shrunk. My mother seemed to be having trouble with the new washer and dryer so I tried to show her exactly how they work. After my explanation she said, "I know how they work. I shrank your clothes to give you some incentive to lose all that belly you got." FML

Today, at the laundromat. I loaded a huge load into the top dryer, put all the quarters in, and started the bottom one. I realized my mistake when I came to check on it. FML

Today, after my washing machine broke yesterday in the middle of a cycle, I went and spent $1400 on a new one. Also today, my dryer started to smoke and almost caught my clothes on fire. There goes another $1000. FML

Today, my dryer was finally repaired after not working for over a month. I did one load of laundry and my washer stopped working. Another day, another $400+ repair bill. FML

Today, I finally got around to doing laundry. The washing machines in my condominium building take about an hour to do a load. When I returned to throw my clothes in a dryer, I realized they were never washed in the first place. I used my card and detergent to pay for another person's laundry. FML

as long as OP keeps replacing the washing machine. his sister is going to continue to overload the washer. but when she has to pay with it out of pocket then she'll realize that a washing machine is not cheap.

Obviously it is about time you have a talk with your sister, OP, about respecting other people's property. Show her how to use the washing machine if you decide to let her use this new one. For those that don't know, you turn on the water, then put in the soap...agitate the water so the soap mixes up, then put your clothes in. Explain to her she can't fill it up all the way because she keeps breaking your machines, if she keeps doing it, then she can screw off and go do her laundry somewhere else. Also inform her clothes don't clean properly when you cram the machine, so she's been wearing dirty clothes this whole time. It's assumed that everyone knows how to was their clothes, but ya'll would be surprised in how many adults can't do anything for themselves because they were too babied as children. I hope you make her pay to replace it, OP. FYL

Wow....I agree w/making her start paying to replace said machines...maybe she'll stop acting like a 14yr old spoiled child who's cell phone gets replaced every 2 months because of carelessness.
