PETA ******, **** off. We have two full grown male cats and two kittens, all of whom I love to death, and they must be kept in boxes when that young. What the hell do you want the person to do, keep the cat on his shoulder? Even if the cat was older, a carrier or box is still needed. 21 - is it just me, or is that possibly one of the stupidest things you could ever do to a cat? Seeing as how the OP said 'cat' and not 'kitten', I would like to see you wrap one in a blanket and not get your eyes gouged out. Well...actually, I would like to see that. It seems to me that the people who really know the least about animals are the ones who claim to love them more than humans. I loathe human nature, but I am also not ignorant of the fact that animals can be just as much of an asshole as any human.

YDI for getting a cat...a dog is a much better choice.

#16 no shit a dog wouldn't have done that they don't really claw things.....they bite sounds like your wife has a good sense of humor or is a bitch and the reason the cat was in the box is that it was in a car on the ride home i'm assuming which is a very wise idea cause unlike a dog cats don't really like cars too much sorry the little guy scratched you....you should try to give him another chance
