Today, I got a computer. When I opened it, I found out that my dad had made himself the administrator. He made it so everything shut off after 11 o'clock, and made it so I couldn't download anything without his password. FML

Just download tons of horse **** on his computer. When he asks why, tell him that for some reason, you couldn't download anything on yours so you used his instead. :D

My parents used to limit me in a more primitive manner. They'd just pull my internet cord from the router in Dad's office Sunday night, and I'd get it back Friday evening. Until, that is, I entered 8th grade and my school decided to get tech savvy and give us homework that required extensive research. Now, what's easier? Driving your kid to the library almost every day, or just plugging a cord in? I've been free to roam the web and do pretty much as I please for a little over a year and a half now. Thank goodness this is my PC!

Hey OP you had better hope that your father does not read FML or he will know what you are up to with all these tips and the like...by the way that sucks too...if you have the cash just go and buy your own

People like you make me cry.

suck it up and deal!! the same thing happened to me. so i dont feel sorry for you.

boot into safe mode and make him a regular user with all the same rules he put on your computer(even more fun, make yourself an admin on his computer with those rules) when he gets tired of it and throws a fit(and he will) tell him you'll remove your account from his comp when he removes his from your comp. or do like the smart people said and resize the windows partition and use ubuntu on 75% of the drive

I don't think anyone will see this but a lot of you said to be grateful for gifts. He never said it was a gift and how can you be grateful for somehting that you can't fully use (some might say he cant use this at all)

Haha I agree with the one above me

My parents will do that, but by pulling the Internet cable and that too only if i'm on a game or something, never when i'm doing homework. I bought and built my own computer and they know keep their hands off of it. But ya. if your under 18 or 19 get use to it ;) @141-Mac can be password protected and have parental control software installed on them, plus PCs just better
