Today, I got a cross-country job promotion. I decided to plan my Going-Away-Forever party, and bought a pack of 100 invitations. After mailing them out to all my friends, I have 92 left. FML

8 close friends are better than 100 whatever friends!

I don't get why you got a 100 pack of invitations. But there's nothing wrong with having 8 friends. I only have a few friends and everyone else is acquaintances (or facebook "friends"). No one I'd invite to a party.

it could be worse you could have 100 left

I have the opposite problem to you , be grateful you're not surrounded by loads of shallow relationships! Good luck with ur new life!

idk why buy 18 made me laugh a lot. theres nothing "fml" about this. i only have like 4 friends that i'd invite to a party. after i graduated high school i stopped talking to a lot of people that were just dramatic. seems i'm way happier now. quality>quantity ftw

I'm going to be frank, you really are a loser. You get surprised you have litlle friends and then you go and waste your time writting about it online. You should be going out there and meeting new people instead of talking to people online you'll never see. Quality is still better than quantity.

Who the hell sends out invitations to 7 people? You're using this site so I'm thinking you know what EMAIL is...

YDI for buying so many. How wasteful. You should have a rough estimate of how many friends you have. Should have just made a Facebook event or something.

yeah. but when you think about it, your going to have those 8 Friends there, you can have alot more fun with just your closest friends there. As I like to say in these situations... The More the Crappier.

I prefer like 10 at tops good friends over 100 i slightly know any day

Eight is actually a really good number of friends. It's six more than I have, if that makes you feel better, and I think of myself as being lucky to have that many.
