Today, I got a haircut, and after thanking the stylist I went up front to pay. The lady behind the counter took one look at me, smiled, and said, "Well, now you'll need a hat." FML

was it really short? it's winter, so if it was, that might've been al she meant.

Yeah you shouldn't have paid. Sue ensues!

Or she meant that it is cold out and you no longer have the hair style of a feral sheep. YDI but you missed why.

If she said it in a joking way, then I am pretty sure the "counter lady" meant that it was cold outside and a hat would help keep you warm. If she said it in a serious matter, you simply smile back, walks towards the door, ignite your Molotov cocktail, throw it at the "counter lady", and watch the hilarity ensue. Either method will keep you warm and fuzzy inside.

maybe she ment bcos its cold and your hair got shorter you need a hat...

so? may be just cold outside, don't see the FML factor here

ya, she probly meant that it's gonna be cold and that you will need a hat. no need to overreact to what people say. I mean, not every one is gonna like how you look :/

@3 just what i was thinking too. about the weather.

if you didn't check to see if your hair was all jacked up before paying the RECEPTIONIST then you deserve it.

I'm a receptionist at a salon. I wouldn't do this
