Today, I got a new job. This would've been a good thing, but apparently, the person I'm replacing was very well-liked around my workplace. All of my co-workers hate me now for replacing someone who I don't even know. FML

1- work really hard 2- get promoted 3- Fire all of them (Like A Boss)

Well that's not fair of them, they don't even know you. Sounds awesome to work with them.

If there are a lot of guys in the office, have one of the hottest girls you know stop by with treats. Then do the same to the ladies. Get tickets to games and movie passes. Once in awhile give them away. Saying you can't go. Some of the delivery guys at my work will wait for me to finish the pickup because I give them passes all the time. Makes my job easier.

I replaced a guy who died. He was very secretive and defensive and would shout down anyone who dared question his methods. I have mixed feelings about showing people the mistakes I have already found. People thought he was a genius, but I'm finding he was mediocre at best.

I didn't replace somebody popular, but I took a team-lead position that someone working for the company interviewed for. I came in as an outsider. I had to deal with little power plays where my team would try to go over my head about some issues. Thankfully, the manager batted them right back down to me. I did the job to the best of my abilities, and didn't take any of their slights personally. Eventually, I earned their respect.

Now I feel really sad for all the people that have replaced me at all the jobs I've had over the years

Try emulating your predecessor's example...Hopefully, he wasn't popular for being the lunch time glory hole attendant in the company restroom...

Try to get on there good sides. Bake a cake or something.

If you are replacing someone who left out of his/her own will, it is a no brainer as to why he/she decided to leave. With a bunch of judgmental co-workers around him/her, who wouldn't want to stop working in a workplace like that? FYL. If the person you are replace is not leaving out of his/her choice, it is still a FYL. The co-workers should be hating on the boss's decision to have you replace him/her. OR even if you are replacing the person because of your skills or whatever, that is still not your fault. In the end, the boss makes the call. FYL either way.
