@icaptain - Yes, I knew there was something else at 18, but as there wasn't an election until I was (pretty much) 19 I forgot about it. @FreeRunn3r - I don't know what the DUI rate is, only one person out of the many I do know would actually do it, but you hear a lot of stuff about how it's quite bad, but it might be media exagerated, I don't know. There are groups of people who just don't seem to understand any concept of social responsibility, and it's probably incidents that relate to them that the media gets hold of. @ShadowLor - Read post #212 by xpoppalotta, who explains why we have the traditional 21st being a big birthday thing.

She probably doesn't know when your birthday is. Just celebrate you birthday another day. A birthday celebration doesn't have to be on that exact day.

Aw -maybe point out to her what she's doing? Depending on how close you are, maybe just don't go to her shower -or, just celebrate your bday another day. Could be worse, though -my cousin's birthday is on Christmas day... at least you're not overlooked every friggin year...
