Reminds me of years ago. My mom worked at a grocery store, but on her day off she went shopping. A cashier was out sick and a super begged Ma to fill in when she walked in the door. Ma did, but hours later another super wrote her up for not having her uniform on.

Whenever I get called in and I accept, I tell them that I'm about to start getting ready and I'll be there when I get there, to avoid this. That was really ungrateful of them, sorry to hear OP.

Are you a casual, part time or full time, if you got called in they shouldn't be able to wrote you up as roster changes are supposed to be given with 12hrs notice.
