Today, I got dumped after about a four year relationship. Feeling lonely and depressed, I posted on facebook, "is hurt, someone please text or call me." Then one of my cousins commented, "no one text him." His comment got 17 "likes." No one got in contact with me. FML

Admit it--you posted that on facebook so your ex would see and feel sorry for you, and/or regret dumping you. If you're going to appeal to the masses for pity (which is not very attractive), you must be prepared to accept the consequences. It absolutely sucks that you got dumped (and I feel for you if you're still hurting), but dude...call your friend on the phone and have a private conversation about your *very personal* (i.e. do not need to be posted on facebook) feelings.

Yeah that's obnoxious, sorry. That sucks what happened but pick up the phone and call a friend to talk or get together instead of posting on facebook for people to call you and comfort you.
