Today, I got fired for saving my company upwards of $6,000. I'm as confused as you are. FML
I agree, your life sucks 33 243
You deserved it 2 360

Grindwhore tells us more.

They have yet to give me a reason why, I'm still confused as hell.

The only way I could understand you getting fired was if your manager wanted to run his company into the ground and you saving money ruined his master plan

Depends on how you save them the money. I've been working corporate many years, and sometimes when an idea seems like a really good one, it could pose as an liability to the company and can cause them millions if something went wrong.

So what did you do? Plug all the toilets to save on the toilet paper bill? Run off the secretary the boss was banging and hire your girlfriend to replace her at a lower wage? Oh the ways I can think of.

Maybe you should've saved your company OVER 9,000! Anywho, that sucks OP :/ FYL

The two events probably have nothing to do with each other. It's more likely you were fired in spite of your money saving efforts. Sorry OP, it is unfortunate to do something positive and still end up losing your job. The only way I can see the savings being a direct factor to your termination is if the change damaged a relationship the company held that was important to them.

Uncovering a "special relationship," like a $6,000+ kickback, was my first thought.

Have you seem the movie, Horrible bosses? If so.. You could always kill him.
