Today, I got into a huge fight with my boyfriend. I called him and started yelling at him over the phone. He told me that if I wanted to end the relationship I should just hang up the phone right then. Before I could say I still love him and don't want to break up, my phone battery died. FML

Today, my boyfriend and I got into a heated argument. He raised his hand like he was going to hit me. Having been hit by my ex before, I panicked and instinctively kicked his legs out from under him. He then dumped me because he said he was just gonna scare me, but I used real violence on him. FML

It kind of sounds like you guys fight a lot and/or are in highschool. Unless I'm wrong, you should consider breaking up. The worst decision that a LOT of people make is deciding that a really awful relationship is better than no relationship. If I'm wrong; when you get in a fight, think "Is this really a deal breaker?". If it's not, then try calmly discussing it. If it is, tell him so and break it off.

I don't know about this one. If you called him just for the purpose of yelling at him and playing these little mindfuck games with him, YDI. If you called to just talk and ended up yelling and your battery died, FYL. Either way, this problem is easily solved by explaining it later.

This is neither an FML or a YDI simply because fights are a two way street. I am surprised at how many people here assume it's alays the girls fault and the guy needs to 'man up' and 'lay down the law.' That is just a load of bull. Non of us have a right to judge especially since we don't know what the circumstances were. It sucked your battery died at the worst possible moment, but it is a certainly a situation that can be fixed- if your boyfriend loves you, I am sure he'd understand after you two work out your differences. Best of luck.

..People are seriously ridiculous, how can they blame YOU for this? Sorry, when I'm in a fight with someone over the phone I don't exactly check EVERY second too see if my phone is dying, assholes lol & forgetting too charge your phone is such a common mistake, we've all done it and it's not that big of a deal! Totally not your fault, I hope everything worked out!
