Today, I got lost trying to find the hospital my sister was giving birth in. I stopped at a store to call my mom for directions. A cop pulled up beside me and knocked loudly on my window asking me to get out. The store had been robbed and I am now a suspect. FML

ydi for not thinking of the possibility that the store you stopped at may have been robbed.

Oh no, I've been arrested! I must update FML! seriously?

He didn't say he was arrested. He said he's now a suspect. This definitely qualifies as a day ******. Could be a life ****** if it goes badly

Wow that that sucks big time. For everyone else on here asking "why would you stop at a store for directions?" Hello people its called common sense. Its common sense to stop at a rural area or neighborhood let alone a busy street. You gotta remember that. Secondly i hope your sister can forgive you. Again it was only common sense that the police officer banged on your car window. Either they got the description of the suspect and targeted it at you. Its common sense to stop in a area where you lost for directions "whether it be ANYWHERE" and its common sense that the police officer banged on your window cause they prob got the description of the person that robbed the store, or they targeted you because you might have been the only person around that store at the time. Anywho good luck with everything hope your sis can forgive you, and btw you have an interesting story to tell your niece or nephew when they get older lol =)

I call BS. If you're a suspect, you wouldn't be allowed to be posting from your phone ESPECIALLY in past tense. That would mean that you left the scene. And ANY cop would have confirmed your story before letting you go. How do I know this? I'm a cop. and confirming the story is first and foremost. It weeds out liars, AND if the subject is telling the truth, assists in getting them to their destination.

You wouldn't be allowed to post from your phone in the past tense? So when you're a suspect, the cops monitor your text messages to make sure they're in present tense? Anyway, being a suspect does not necessarily mean you are in custody. If you're a cop, you'd know that.

Perhaps this was not actually posted the day the event occurred.
