Ouch, sorry about that OP. Two words for you : Soft Paws :P
Sorry OP, I've got three myself, and have lost a few things over the years. Might I recommend a set of stairs, or something else that's vertical, very stable, and covered in a carpet-like material? Mine have left everything else alone but cardboard boxes since I got a set of Armakat's four-step stairs (two of mine are older), including a brand-new couch. Also, rub it with catnip for the extra draw to claw more appropriate objects, and rub inappropriate surfaces with citrus peel (lemon works best). Please don't declaw though, that's abuse. It's just like having your fingers removed at the second joint. One of mine was declawed by a previous owner, and now not only is she very fearful, she bites.
My calico adores felt, so I'd have been careful to cover the table and use a citrus scent on it to discourage the cat from coming near it to begin with. But cats ignoring scratching posts for something else is pretty much par for the course, I've learned to use a mini-squirt gun to stop problem behavior. Usually I don't have to do more than say the cat's name, point to the squirt gun sitting on the table/counter/wherever beside me, and it's enough. Sometimes I have to pick it up and point it, but they learn very quickly with a squirt gun, I rarely have to spray anymore.
At least you have a pool table
you could sat it was... CAT-astrophic :3
Should have had them de-clawed

Those are some obnoxious cats you have there. You should teach them a lesson by,pooping in their litterbox and hiding the nip. That'll teach em.
How about we cut off the tips of your fingers and see how you like it? Declawing is cruel and takes away a cats main defense, leaving them feeling vulnerable and angry. It's an awful procedure that should never be performed, painful as hell and messes them up psychologically. Cats come with claws and if someone can't handle that, they shouldn't have cats.
