Catnip. And keep away spray.
Freeze-dried cats don't cause as much damage. Less feeding too. You just have to dust them off every week or two.
Ouch. That even hurt me.
Cats will do that! Sorry, mate!,
Should have gotten a dog. Dogs are the superior pet. Forget cats, dogs are better.
Get rid of them.
To all who keep saying to declaw...please look up what actually is done (it like cutting off the tips of your own fingers at the first joint), & can lead to infection & not using the litter box anymore... a water spray bottle, canned air (motion activated), citrus spray will deter most cats...you can also try using some catnip spray on the scratching post to entice them to it. Tin foil has mixed effect...sometimes it works, sometimes not.
I don't believe in declawing either and don't understand how how anyone who supports it can call themselves a cat lover. Even when my cat accidentally clawed my bare leg when he slipped and fell from my nightstand the other day, lol.
Better to use real catnip on the scratching post than spray. My cat is very good about not scratching the furniture (instead she prefers to knock things off tables and shelves, the little brat) because she has her scratchers. Also, make sure it's a type of scratching post your cat likes. Some cats prefer the corrugated cardboard scratchboxes, some prefer the carpeted posts, while others prefer the sisal scratching posts. Put the post near the piece of furniture you don't want them scratching. Also give praise to your cat when you see him/her using the designated toy. And I will add my voice to the chorus against declawing. It's cruel, unnecessary, and can lead to behavioral problems down the line. Cats have claws. If you can't deal with it, don't live with a cat. As for you, OP, once you get your pool table repaired, maybe put a cover on it when you're not using it so the cats don't destroy it.

Those are some obnoxious cats you have there. You should teach them a lesson by,pooping in their litterbox and hiding the nip. That'll teach em.
How about we cut off the tips of your fingers and see how you like it? Declawing is cruel and takes away a cats main defense, leaving them feeling vulnerable and angry. It's an awful procedure that should never be performed, painful as hell and messes them up psychologically. Cats come with claws and if someone can't handle that, they shouldn't have cats.
