If you have any experience in picking locks you can size them up pretty fast, and know what tools you need. It isn't hard. It just takes practice.

It's what we would call Section 8, the projects, or government housing.

It's where they put all the people on pensions, unemployment or low incomes. So any one who can't afford market rent. That means usually it's a mix of drug addicts, gang members, old people and singles parents.

you could add a chain lock on the inside or another type of additional lock for your protection while indoors. I'd worry about when you leave the house.

Actually it's because with that paper work there is also quite a fee. Which I can't afford. If I could afford such things I wouldn't be in a council estate. Also I don't have anything worth stealing.

Ease off her #53! If you live in a council house in the UK you generally might not have much spare cash, and if she's renting you have to get various permissions from the council in order to change things, i.e change the lock. Getting anything fixed can be a lengthy process...
