Today, I had a note to skip P.E. that my grandpa had written because my mom was busy. His handwriting is terrible, so they didn't believe that he'd written it. I'd twisted my ankle and I got to run another mile for "lying". FML

Apparently only kids in school are allowed to have poor handwriting these days...shoulda said your grandpa was a doctor, that'd clear it right up

Oww. If those staff suspected anything, couldn't they have checked the ankle? Our staff could have.

That's the moment when you just say, NO...full stop!!! They can't make you do anything...Especially with an injury. Worse case scenario....detention?? I'll take it!!! Should have shown them your bruises if there were any lol!! Sheesh

OP, I expect you to tell us why you listened to that idiot. You could have told them to call your mom or even just told him that you refuse because you are injured. If they send you to office you could call your mom.

I am sorry but you do not know how young she is! Having a teacher yell at you and push you around can be scary. I gave in a few times before I learnt to stand up for myself. It is a lesson we all learn, sometimes later in life. We not all born strong and can stand up for ourselves. I have had teachers be very nasty to me and at the time its easy to give in especially when you think they have power.

But the nasty teachers are the ones who are the most fun to annoy. They get so angry over the littlest things. :D

I guess the coach jumped to the conclusion that you were running a scam to skip gym class, and you were pulling his chain so he pushed you to hop to it. Whew! After writing that, I'm exhausted!

shoukd of called ur mom and handed the phone over

Folks, lets cut the kid just a little bit of slack. We don't know how old they are, and perhaps we don't quite remember how much pressure we can be put under by our gym teachers to get out there and to DO IT DO IT DO IT back when we where in school. It's incredibly easy for all of us to sit here and type about how we'd basically tell this teacher to piss off, but in fact none of us were there at that spot, at that moment. Sheesh.

You should have just called your grandpa.

Take it as a lesson in standing up for yourself. A failed lesson I suppose, but still. You can do better next time.

The worst thing that happens is you get a write up for insubordination. No big deal, take it home and show your parents. If your ankle is twisted they'll understand and get the situation straightened out.
