Today, I had a note to skip P.E. that my grandpa had written because my mom was busy. His handwriting is terrible, so they didn't believe that he'd written it. I'd twisted my ankle and I got to run another mile for "lying". FML

Apparently only kids in school are allowed to have poor handwriting these days...shoulda said your grandpa was a doctor, that'd clear it right up

Oww. If those staff suspected anything, couldn't they have checked the ankle? Our staff could have.

Couldn't they have called to verify? This happened to me in the 3rd grade. My mom's first language is japanese, so her english at the time wasn't perfect, and the sick note had a misspelled word in it and there was no capitalization. The teachers accused me of writing it. Then I saw 3 of them all together making fun of the note my mom wrote. Saying how "stupid and uneducated" she was for writing it. She learned english on her own, and I'd like to see those ******* try to learn to read and write japanese flawlessly and get made fun of. After 26 years, I still remember that day like it was yesterday. I hated teachers ever since.

Some teachers should never be teachers. Thugs are thugs, regardless of the names they give themselves.

My first language is English and I have taught myself to speak and write Japanese. I have mad respect for your mom in her efforts, and on top of that I have even more respect for the fact that she actually tried to learn English unlike many of those that come to English speaking countries. I must say though, when she showed up at the school yelling at them in Japanese so much that they piss themselves, that's when you say "high-five mom!" lol

OP if you managed to run a mile on a twisted ankle I'm impressed. That shit hurts!

you just shouldn't have run. period.

In my experience if you have ANY issues at all with teachers you're going to lose unless your parents get involved. Maybe OP was shy and couldn't just refuse the teacher in front of everybody.

That happened to me before! You should enroll your grandfather in some writing classes =P

I would have left and went to the office to complain because it isn't your fault that someone has bad handwriting.

Suuuu...San Boyle? I don't understand this and why is it patriotic?

In addition to your ankle, I think your backbone is damaged, OP. When something like that happens, you simply refuse. They cannot physically force you to run, and if they try, have them up for assault.
