Today, I had a serious allergic reaction to the food I ate at a Chinese restaurant that supposedly didn't contain peanuts. According to my waitress, peanut oil "doesn't count". FML

I know plenty of people who have SEVERE peanut allergies but can have peanut oil. That always confused me.

they actually remove the allergy in peanut oil... I'm a doctor and have a peanut allergy myself. get with the program

when someone says, "is there any trace of peanuts in this? I'm allergic." and the waitress knows that there's peanut oil in the food, she souls point it out to the customer even if it can be questioned because there is the possibility that the allergy exists, which it did. therefore, it is clearly the fault of the waitress.
