I usually set an ipod alarm, a phone alarm and a digital clock alarm. Annoying as hell to close them, but really effective!
the early bird doesn't always get the worm, or in this case the job
Why were you up the night before doing all this prep work? Unless they sprung the interview on you shouldn't you have done it well in advance? This, of course, is only relevant if the prep worked caused you to go to sleep late and so wake up late. In which case YDI. If the prep work was nothing to do with the waking up late then you are unfortunate and FYL.
I don't always have an alarm clock... I focus on waking up at a certain time before going to sleep, and I'm one of those people who naturally wakes up in the morning if there's something important on the next day. But yes, you should have set multiple alarms or gone to bed earlier the night before.
wow...that blows. .
I know how that feels.
I am so sorry. I have never missed an interview. But other appointments yes.

Always set multiple alarms. When it's something this important, you don't leave anything to chance.
Sounds like you have a pretty alarming problem.
