Today, I had the contraceptive implant removed from my arm after having had it in for three years. I was one of the unlucky people whose body sticks to it. It took half an hour to cut and pull a tiny little stick out of my arm. FML

I had one too. I had mine removed a year early though because of severe issues with it. and she had to practically saw the damn thing out of my arm.

Cheer up, mine took an hour. 30 minutes of digging around in my arm to try and find it, then 30 minutes to cut/pull it out.

The hardest part with implanon is grabbing it to remove it after the incision. Other than that it's really not that big of a deal OP. I just had my second 3-year implant put in recently, no complaints here! But good luck anyway!

I am now terrified that will happen to me when mine gets replaced! :( but they inject you with an anesthetic first (or at least they did with me) so the pain would probably just be the aching afterwards, I'm guessing. Either way, FYL!
