Those still exist?
I thought the same thing. I haven't seen one in years. Maybe it's just the areas I go. But I'd figure a mix of city, tourist, suburb and rural among 5 states, if they were still common, I'd have seen one.
We still have them in the city closest to me...
You guys are lucky, in my area there are no functioning pay phones. Every time I needed one those damn things were broken or not connected.
We all know that's how all the assassinations and kidnapping a start. All jokes aside, that sucks OP. I'm sorry to hear that
Some people just need to mind their own business
I'm at the payphone trying to call home all of my change I spent on you
That song... how is he making a call if he has no change after he spent it on some girl? O.o
He either saved money by switching to Gieco, or he called collect.
Maybe they thought you were inappropriately using the pay phone? That really doesn't make sense why they would even say something about it...
Well, he/she could have been using the payphone to beat somebody to death. It doesn't specify to make a call.
Or for suicide.
Actually, in Futurama pay phones and suicide booths exist together in the future, but people in the future often confuse the two. I always get a laugh when Fry and Bender confuse themselves with the two (with Fry nearly getting killed by the suicide booth and Bender, more than once, is disappointed that a pay phone isn't a suicide booth. ( "What kind of horrible suicide free time is this!?" )).
paywhat ? don't they have an iPhone now with a wire sticking out of it for public use ? lol but seriously I'd feel badass in someway or another of cops actually thought I might be a dangerous criminal.
Don't be stupid, they'd have to use an Android phone to make sure it kept on working.
Because criminals are so cool, right?
maybe you were planning a conspiracy over the payphone dun dun dunnnn!

There might be a gun in the top, with a mysterious caller/murderer dictating your every movement. I use movies as real-life examples too.
It's now illegal if you make a call that is not on an iPhone
