I love FMLs like this because they so clearly delineate the childless from the actual parents. Current parents occasionally make mistakes but "future" parents are perfect. What's most ridiculous about YDIs on this FML is that it's a very easy mistake to make, depending on the model of the car. It has absolutely nothing to do with parenting or child neglect and to think so is ignorant. Its definitely silly and absent minded but that's about it.

I lock my keys in my car alot so i kno how easy it is. I push the lock down on my door without realizing i do it most of the time and when i push one it locks them all automatically. Ive never locked a kid in mine tho but give this poor mom a break obviously she didnt do it on purpose or she obviously wouldnt put it on here. it was an honest mistake that does not mean shes a bad evil person or parent. we're all human and we all make mistakes. Im sure youve all done some pretty stupid stuff on bad days too so give her a break!
