bad parenting would be to leave the kids in the car and not call for help...also I'm sure the toddlers could not unlock the car if they were strapped in a carseat...accidents happen don't be so quick to judge you may very well be in there place one day.

I just do not understand how the hell you lock your kids in the car with your keys and I am really trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. I knew someone who locked their keys in the car with the car running for over 8 hours, but that person was a ******* moron. Perhaps, that is your problem as well? **** your kids' lives for having your genes and a mother/father that actually posted this story.

That happens to every parent at least once in their life.

hasn't happened to me yet. but I don't leave my kids in the car + my car keys are in my pocket when I get out. also, I don't think my car's electrics would let me make that mistake. of course my car is Australian, not American.

omg that's all bad. I hope it wasn't really hot in the car when they were locked in.

you shoulda gone all ninja and broke the window and ran away from a fiery explosion in the background haha

I dispatch tow trucks for AAA. If you live in the midwest you may have talked to me.

why the hell would you leave your TODLERS in your LOCKED car !? how much more of a dumbass could you be !?

they didn't leave their kids in the car you imbecile! the op's car either auto locked or the op locked the doors and somehow forgot to get the keys to unlock the back doors to get the toddlers out. if the latter one is true, then I'm not sure why they even locked the doors in the first place. if it were me, I would have left my door opened, take my children out, then grab the keys and lock the doors. though if I was in this situation, I would do as others were saying and break the ******* window! my child is more important than stupid glass for windows. windows can be replaced. a human life cannot.

Sure it can. Read the fmls, idiots are making new people every day.

I am always paranoid about something like this happening to me, so I never let my door close before I open my daughter's...
