Today, I had to explain to my husband that it's biologically impossible for cats and dogs to cross-breed, and that his "brilliant idea" of getting ours to mate is just plain disturbing. He still doesn't believe me. FML

In fairness, I didn't do science in school and I only learned that recently. However I did learn that it's theoretically possible for humans and apes to mate. Please don't tell your husband. x x x

#69 Just like #18, your comments are "educated" and "good". It's amazing how many people don't know this basic stuff: cross-breeding is impossible in nature. The FML app should be used to collect data about people's stupidity and ignorance. The results should be published and used to make a wake-up call: it doesn't matter if you have a school near you, and you have financial means to get educated, even if you don't have it, is just as likely to be ignorant and stupid. I'm sorry... I really do. This is so sad that it's not even funny anymore.

"According to evolution, anything is possible. Go for it!" No, no, evolution does not tell us that two different species can breed. You're thinking about *miracles.* *Miracles.* Not science. And I second the spaying and neutering thing. Tell your husband that the sperm of the cat and the egg of a dog, or vice-versa have only one half of the dna information, and they seek a similar dna half: a zipper, if you will. The zippers just don't fit between these species.
