Today, I had to listen to my coworker complain about how working 19 hours a week leaves her with no time to go to the doctor and get her bronchitis treated. Meanwhile, I work 40 hours a week, as well as doing 18 credit hours at school, and she refuses to cover her mouth. FML

Today, I learned that I have a sinus infection, ear infection and bronchitis so bad it was on the verge of pneumonia. My work won't let me call in sick. I work with kids. Lovely. FML

Today, I went back to work after a horrible bout of respiratory illness. After a few hours of using hot tea, cough drops, and tissues to deal with my lingering cough, I found out that my asshole coworker has filed a formal complaint about me disrupting her concentration. FML

Today, I woke up in the ER after constant coughing and pneumonia made me pass out. I told my boss I was in the hospital with an infection and 235/163 blood pressure, so I wouldn’t be in. His response was, “So, you are a lazy POS and expect your colleagues to cover you?” I’d quit if my health was better. FML

Today, I have the flu. I had to wash the dishes, cook dinner, take out the trash, and take care of the laundry, all while my wife sat around watching TV, because she was "too tired". I work 8 hours a day. She's a college student. She doesn't see what's so unfair about this. FML

Today, after I've been sick all week, but still coming in to work (I'm not contagious) because I know that we're short staffed, I sucked it up and came in again, only to find out 3 other employees called in because they're hungover. Now I have to do my job and theirs. FML

Plus side is, once a cold hits bronchitis stage, it's usually not contagious anymore. It can start from a cold or allergies and work into a sinus infection then settle into bronchitis, if you don't watch it, you can be down with pneumonia pretty quickly. Mine always starts out as allergies, so it's never contagious. I deal with bronchitis yearly (I have it right now) and I'm suprised she could even manage to work 20 hrs a week. My brain is such a fog, I can't do anything. Luckily, I'm able to stay home until I'm better. Make her wear a mask.

Bronchitis isn't contagious ? it's an inflammation, not a virus, or something you can catch, like a cold or the flu

Hey guys OP here, so first things first I am in college and I know that bronchitis isn't contagious but I just don't like her not covering her mouth. As far as her having other things outside work all she has is a once a week job being a waitress and then nothing else, she is one of those people who wont stop talking about their personal life. I try to avoid her as much as I can but we work in a small convenience store and there's not many places to go.
