Today, I had to re-grade a student's assignments because neither he, nor his parents can read "Spanish." I'd written in cursive. FML

Same thing different taste

Underfunded and underappreciated

Today, I got back the essay I wrote about how my country's education system is fucked. At one point, I made a spelling mistake. My teacher wrote a note about it, basically calling me illiterate, and telling me to pay attention in school instead of whining about it. She misspelled "school". FML

Ok.. If it was the majority of the class that found his handwriting illegible then I would blame the teacher.. It was one student and the parents! FYL op

Stop teaching cursive and the children wont swear as much. *runs and hides from the sarcasm impaired*

if you can't write neatly I suggest writing each individual letter out separately. It takes more time but it means it's readable. I do that because I'm dyslexic dysgraphic.

Either your hand writing is sloppy, or they are complete idiots of the English language.

I honestly don't recommend continuing to write comments on assignments in cursive regardless of how easy it is for you to read and write because some people will always complain about being unable to read it because cursive, though it can look astounding when used neatly, can be very difficult to read if done messily. And if it is simply done in a manner where some letters look like other letters it can cause confusion. It isn't that I have a problem with cursive but I think you will just save yourself some grief if you write it in a different manner when marking assignments so that everyone can understand it, regardless of whether they know cursive or not.

The word you are looking for is most likely read, unless you truly do mean a tall, slender-leaved plant of the grass family that grows in water or on marshy ground

I'll admit I have trouble reading cursive, but I have more than enough IQ points to recognize whether it's English or not.

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN!!!!!!! Only my English teachers can read my cursive, even my best! It's probably just because nobody practices reading cursive anymore :(

It's sad how you're a teacher and you can't even write correctly. It's 'I wrote in cursive'.
