Today, I heard a teenage boy ask his friend, "So, is it, like, November in Australia too?" This is the future of America. FML

To answer the teenagers question: No, we have a special month called Kangaroocember, where we all celebrate Australia by finding kangaroos and riding in their pouches. ...OF COURSE it's November in Australia. Just like the rest of the world. >.<

... I can only hope that the boy was trying to refer to the weather difference, and not the actual month, because otherwise this is just another crushing blow to my faith in humanity.

I can understand how a person that isn't worldly would be confused by this, as he associates November with fall, he was possibly thinking the months are attached to the seasons (first day of spring, summer, fall, winter). I had to recently verify when the Summer Olympics take place when the host country is in the southern hemisphere. Sydney was a long time ago, but they have them during our fall, their spring. It really is odd if you think about it, especially if you've never left your country.

I honestly don't get why people say, "You Deserved It" to something like that. ****** stupid.

well since the seasons are switched around I could somewhat understand how he could mix it up

I love how because the answer is yes he is considered the stupid one. The stupid ones are the ones that assume the rest of the world has the same European descended Calendar. Seriously that is the stupidity. Many different countries had many different ways of marking the years and such. Ours has for the most part become the standard but it's not the only one that ever existed. Pondering "what is different" isn't stupid it's smart.

If it was the 30th of November in the US it could be December in Australia... Just saying.
