Well if it had been November 30th, in some places of the world it could be December first. Not that dumb. Also, different countries have different calendar years. It is actually 2005 in Africa right now, they are 7 years behind us... It is not that stupid of a question.
I've had my American friends ask me what month it is here. Oh dear.
I am not sure what is worse, this, or when I was at walmart and a group of teens was buying a calling card, the cashier asked if they want an international card or not. Nobody in the group knew what international means.
thats american education system for ya!

To answer the teenagers question: No, we have a special month called Kangaroocember, where we all celebrate Australia by finding kangaroos and riding in their pouches. ...OF COURSE it's November in Australia. Just like the rest of the world. >.<
... I can only hope that the boy was trying to refer to the weather difference, and not the actual month, because otherwise this is just another crushing blow to my faith in humanity.
