Today, I hung out with some old friends for the first time since losing about 50 pounds, going from clinically obese to a healthy weight. I even bought a cute new dress for the occasion to show off my new body. No one noticed the change. FML

Who cares? You did it for yourself, and as long as you feel happy, that's really all that matters.

Don't be so down. Maybe they forgot? I'm not helping, but congrats on the weight loss!!

I never comment on people's appearance, it makes me feel awkward and I don't know how they'll take it. I once commented how my friend's hair was getting so long, which I meant as a compliment but she got all offended and upset, explaining that she doesn't "have free time like I do" so she hadn't been to a hair dresser in awhile. I just keep my mouth shut now.

maybe because your friends don't care about how you look. that's not a bad thing

You didn't do it for them, you did it for you. Love yourself girl.

They probably saw and thought it alot but they didn't want to bring it up because that would be rude

losing 50 pounds when your clinically obese is like the weather going down two degrees on a hot day ....nobody notices cause it's still hot .....get back on the treadmill

You do realize the difference between ideal weight and obese can be as little as 40 pounds depending on one's height, right?

Don't worry about it, you did a great job losing that much weight and that's all that matters

Your friends might just be very considerate with the fact that they see you as the same friend before and after

What a stupid FML. I'd be glad that they don't care whether you're obese or skinny. Appreciate people like this. They care for your character, not your body

Friends are friends. They'll care about you not your weight.

I lost 65 pound a couple years ago and some people didn't mention anything till I brought it up. They just don't want to be rude.
