Today, I ignored my cat's incessant meowing, and pushed him away every time he wanted to be petted. The next time I walked downstairs I found him dead. FML

Today, my overly-attached 14-year-old cat wanted attention while I was in a heated Skype argument with my girlfriend. Worked up from the fight, I raised my voice and said, "Not now, go away!" He ran to his little bed, had a heart attack and died. I was a complete dick to my cat in his last moments. FML

Today, despite me not liking cats, which my wife knew, she got a cat anyway. Her cat went for a walk outside and was hit by a car. I rushed outside to help the cat but found she was already dead, and the culprit had driven away. When my wife found out that her cat was dead, she thought I'd killed her. FML

Today, my cat was incessantly meowing trying to get me to wake up and feed him. Because it was 6 a.m., and I'd hardly slept at all last night, my brain decided that the best solution to get him to shut up would be to hug him. The result was a normally docile and lazy cat giving me a nasty scratch next to my left eye. FML

Today, I was woken up by my cat, who normally doesn't bother me in the morning, meowing desperately and trying to get me to wake up. Fearing that something was very wrong, I jumped out of bed. He gestured for me to follow him, so I did. I followed him all the way to the kitchen, where he proceeded to puke. FML

even though this is a horrible fml. OP could have ignored the cat to teach not to cry when wanting attention..? like of course its terrible, and I'd never cold shoulder an animal, but maybe there was more to it.. but still why would you even post this as an fml..? :/

OMG! OP, You just proved to the WWW that you are the cruelest cat owner in the world. You were selfish and dumb enough to push away your dying cat for him to suffer his last excruciating hours on earth to get you to pet him or at least scratch his ears as a final goodbye. Don't expect everyone who reads this to feel sorry for you just because you refused to take 3 minutes off of your busy schedule (or at least your Break time) to give your cat the love and care he needed. I hope you're proud of yourself, OP. People like you are a waste of flesh, blood and life.
