Today, I ignored my cat's incessant meowing, and pushed him away every time he wanted to be petted. The next time I walked downstairs I found him dead. FML

Today, my overly-attached 14-year-old cat wanted attention while I was in a heated Skype argument with my girlfriend. Worked up from the fight, I raised my voice and said, "Not now, go away!" He ran to his little bed, had a heart attack and died. I was a complete dick to my cat in his last moments. FML

Today, despite me not liking cats, which my wife knew, she got a cat anyway. Her cat went for a walk outside and was hit by a car. I rushed outside to help the cat but found she was already dead, and the culprit had driven away. When my wife found out that her cat was dead, she thought I'd killed her. FML

Today, my cat was incessantly meowing trying to get me to wake up and feed him. Because it was 6 a.m., and I'd hardly slept at all last night, my brain decided that the best solution to get him to shut up would be to hug him. The result was a normally docile and lazy cat giving me a nasty scratch next to my left eye. FML

Today, I was woken up by my cat, who normally doesn't bother me in the morning, meowing desperately and trying to get me to wake up. Fearing that something was very wrong, I jumped out of bed. He gestured for me to follow him, so I did. I followed him all the way to the kitchen, where he proceeded to puke. FML

dunno if this is FYL or a YDI... your cat was probably trying to say goodbye. YDI for not noticing it and i guess FYL if you were fond of your cat and just not in the mood to mingle. get a new cat and this time pay attention.

You don't deserve it, my cat meows all the time for attention, food, to go out..everything When I go for a walk he follows nd he mewos then to as he trots beside me. some cats just meow..just to talk really..pets often hide when they are about to die so id this fml is true, the OP had no way of knowing what was going to happen..

I'm guessing everyone who commented "OMG your so mean!" or "woow you dick!" either don't own pets or are 76 year old grandmas who have 700 cats sometimes your pet can get annoying and you push it away cuz you want some space it doesn't mean you don't LOVE them.I love my dogs and they're healthy as can be but sometimes they get annoying so I don't think the OP deserved that at all...you guys gotta think how it would feel before telling the OP to burn in hell
