Today, I introduced my ex-wife to my new girlfriend. They got along so well that my new girlfriend is going to my ex-wife's house tonight "just to hang out". FML

Michael here... I had to introduce the new girlfriend to the exwife when I picked up my kid. My exwife didn't want my son spending the weekend with me and her if she didn't meet her. They did end up sharing things about me. However they claim that if I think that's all they talked about that I'm really conceded. I think I'm more paranoid than conceded, though.

how do you know the quotes are necessary? maybe they actually are just hanging out. it's good that they get along because you won't have to listen to your ex wife complain about your girlfriend that way.

This could be a really good thing for you or really bad. More thank likely bad. Im sure your girlfriend will want another point of view on why things between you and your ex fell through. Don't be surprised if your girlfriend is more alert and stand off-ish after this. Who knows though. It depends on what your ex tells her.

Not bad...better then them hating each other, esp. if you have kids from your first marriage and the two might see each other at occasions related to the kids.
