Today, I joined a new choir. My director asked me if my best friend was actually my girlfriend. Taken aback, I said no, I was not a lesbian. He then asked me to clarify my gender. FML

It's weird that upon first meeting you he'd inquire about your relationship with your friend anyway.

Taken aback you should have asked him when last he got his eyes checked out ;)

Ack, that sucks. On the one hand if he's the first person who asked then it's...well...clearly just his issue. If you get that a lot I am really sorry. Androgyny isn't bad. I am actually really into androgynous people. But I know it can hurt when people are confused or look at you weirdly for it. Also do not change who you are to try to fit into some sort of mold.

Many comments saying "be more girly, wear a dress from time to time.." etc, etc Even if she does wear a dress/is really girly from time to time that wouldn't exactly have helped her on the day. It'd be almost okay if it wasn't for the fact that it says "new choir" and the director hadn't seen her before but rather it happened the first time the director saw her.

Not good. Maybe start wearing make up and dressing girlyish.

Blind retards? Could you possibly make this comment any more politically incorrect?
