Today, I learned that I have a sinus infection, ear infection and bronchitis so bad it was on the verge of pneumonia. My work won't let me call in sick. I work with kids. Lovely. FML

And then I bet they'll also say "WHY DID YOU COME INTO WORK SICK? THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!"

That's a great way to run a company, don't think about the workers or the customers

Two words: doctor's note. They can't argue against that.

The amount of people misinformed on this FML makes me cringe. Seriously, prevent from commenting before you know what you're talking about. Jeez.

In the future wear a mask. Bronchitis is bacterial so generic ones from the store prevents the spread of it. They do not however stop viruses.

F the kid's lives who are going to catch all that you have.

I had bronchitis and pneumonia at the same time once :T i worked that day and just sat in the chair pale white shivering cold in the heat of summer lol.. Difference was i chose to work cuz i needed the money. I hope you didnt show up for the sake of the kids

It can't be "on the verge of pneumonia" since bronchitis is viral and pneumonia is bacterial.

Your employers have obviously taken out insurance policies on the children and are planning on using you to collect on a major pay day.

That doesn't sound very smart. You could get the children sick. Plus, if you don't get the rest you need then it will just get worse.

Work places never let you call in sick especially when it's working with kids because the ratio needs to be maintained even if you're essentially making all the kids ill, my work is the same no matter how ill the staff are, one lady was made to come in with food poisoning
