Hi all, OP here! First, all the comments I've read have been really funny, thank you for taking the time to comment(: They're not actually all my cats, 1 is my sisters, named Abby, and the other 2 are family cats. We got Abby last Xmas, she's about the same age as Roxy(11 year old girl) and obviously much older than Jinx(4 year old boy). In the beginning Abby was always the instigator, wanting to be the dominant cat, and Roxy and Jinx only ran away. Now they all start fights. We're thinking about locking Abby back in my sisters room because they have drawn blood, and it's just getting very difficult to deal with
Oh and to clear this up, the FML isn't that I learned their hisses, it's that they fight so much ;p
Whew, no fun for you guys or for the cats. You might try something like Feliway or other cat calmants. You might also try separating their feeding areas and/or litter boxes farther than whatever you've already done. You could also ask your vet for other suggestions to help reduce their fighting.
Yikes, my cats usually just ignore each other. They'll occasionally swipe at each other or hiss but that's it.
I have 5 cats and I also know their meowing and hissing. It's really useful.
that's awesome :D
Aah, that's not neccessarily a bad thing :) I can tell my cat's growl, she has a very distinctive one that rises and falls in pitch slowly. It's quite useful actually, as I've heard her growling outside before, and can let her in before she gets annoyed at the neighbour's cat. Fellow crazy cat person hug? Just think of it as you being a great owner who knows their cats individually, and has good hearing ;)
Isn't this a skill every cat owner has? Haha I can tell which one of mine is starting shit. We have four and unfortunately three of them all gang up and beat up our oldest female for some reason.
Aw poor baby girl, try keeping a spray bottle filled with water with you?
I do the same. Spoiled little pricks.
Same
Know that boat, lol! I know all 3 of my cats (2 two year old boys and a 15 yr old girl) hisses, meows, weird play noises, piss smell, and paws step sounds. I've also made up a noise to call them/get attention and another one for if they are doing something 'bad' like licking the dishes or stealing one another's food. No shame, and the correct cat takes the blame. :) x
this is freaking awesome! your life rocks! but I love kitties so maybe fml instead?
You are a very lonely person, aren't you

You're one of them now.
Create your own hiss to break up the fight
