Today, I learned the reason they say don't keep your phone in high humidity places. I left my phone on the counter when I went to take a shower. It now won't turn on due to water damage and the warranty doesn't cover it. FML

I would say YDI but i wont, since i do the same damn thing. Anyways..i dropped my G1 in the snow last week and found it 1 hour later in a snow bank (a plow truck had came..FML right?!) well it wasnt working. i called tmobile and they told me to put it in a large ziplock bag with white rice (along with the battery, sim card, sd card out seperate) and it works as salt does for snow..it absorbed all the liquid and my phones perfectly fine (im on it right now) try it! :)

@smashleighfig.. I work for T-Mobile as a customer care rep.. I tell people to do that all the time when they call in about their phones getting wet, I wonder if I talked to you :)

Why does everyone assume that it's impossible just because it hasn't happened to them? The possibility of water damaging a phone is real. Count yourself lucky that it hasn't happened to you.

the possibility of water damaging a phone is real, yes. But humidity? I highly doubt it.

I always leave my phone on the counter while taking a shower. I'm glad that up until now it hasn't gotten messed up even though I drop it at least 3 daily. XD

yeah I'm sti waiting for apple to release the deep sea iPhone ...

If you've always known that, then why the **** leave your phone in the bathroom whilst you take your 1 hour shower? YDI for being such an idiot.

You have a crap phone. Both me and my husband have left our phones (different brands) in the bathroom while taking a shower and both our phones are fine. Actually, mine's been rained on and it's totally fine. And it was a cheap crappy phone.

Nobody needs their phone that bad that they need to stop taking a shower if it rings. Leave your phone out of the bathroom. YDI.
