Wow. I thought maggots only lived in rotting materials (rotting meat, garbage, etc...) I had never heard of maggots in chocolate, I wouldn't have thought it possible.

I've actually heard stories from people getting worms in chocolate candies! They're not maggots though, but moth larvae - they eat like... anything. When we had moths at home they even ate out kitchen sponges o_O

Even if it is *in* the cake, you usually put the slice on a plate and it's side on its side. You don't look at your food while you eat it #25?

Of course I look at the food, but 1) few people expect worms in their food 2) there may have not been worms everywhere inside there, so she may not have seen them before feeling something weird in her mouth

Perdix- I do ever since I was stung in the mouth (bee in my coke bottle) I always stare at my food when I eat.. Lovely memories....
