His doctors probably aren't letting him eat anything,yet, because he's scheduled for surgery. The same exact thing happened to me, including my mom and little sister eating in front of me. At least OP (hopefully) didn't get hit by a car? I did and the worst part is FML won't even let me submit an FML about it. =( Anyway, hopefully they let you eat soon. Good luck, OP. =)

Thats happened to me to op. 3 surgeries over 4 days of not eating And then having my jaw wired for 5 weeks. Jus stay positive

Don't feel bad OP I'm in the exact same position I've been in the hospital since Sunday and couldn't eat anything until this morning and my dad gets to eat which he does right in front of my face, laughing

Insensitive assholes. Tell the doctor to tell them to go somewhere else to eat. Some idiots need to be told.

I feel your pain, OP. I was in the hospital once and I couldn't eat for 8 entire days. I can honestly say I empathize. Poor soul. Once you're allowed to eat again, have your family take you down to the cafeteria and eat everything you want!

They wouldn't let me eat when I was in the hospital either. I hope you feel better soon op!

If the doctors are telling you not to eat there's probably a very good reason for it, although it sucks that your parents are so inconsiderate.

Been there done that except I hadn't eaten for a good 88 hours due to the inability to swallow.
