Today, I'm in the hospital and it's been 44 hours since I've eaten anything. My doctors won't let me eat and my parents are sitting across the room, eating. FML

Same happened to me for a whole week shows how important u are to them when they can't remember to not eat in front of u knowing u can't have anything.

I'm in the hospital a lot and a good portion of the times I am unable to eat for hours or days at a time, my mom usually will not eat because I can't; but I tell her too eat because it isn't fair for her to have to wait.

Been there. I wasn't able to eat for a week and a half when I was in the hospital. It's not fun.

I feel your feels. Eight years (three hospital stays) ago, mom ate my favorite food, Memphis barbecue, in the guest chair of my hospital room on my third day of NPO.

Last time I was in the hospital it had also been close to two days since I had been able to eat and the doctors were still not allowing it. I cried to a nurse and convinced her to bring me some saltine crackers and said if I didn't keep them down we could just blame it on my mom. Best cracker I had ever eaten.
