#208 && 245!!! FTW! Look it the **** up. Veal is disgusting and horrible. When I was little I asked my mom what Veal and Venison was she said male cow calves is Veal and Venison is deer meat. I dont eat red meat that much anymore because of that. You're a murderer. Killin baby cows......Ugh.

That guy is a really good person, and you should take his advice. Veal comes from male baby cows that are taken from their milk producing mothers after 1 day and then spend a couple weeks in a small crate that they can barely move in. They are force fed milk-alternatives that are full of hormones, and other meat, they also get shots and fed drugs that make them grow much faster than normal. Then they are sent to slaughter where they are hung upside down with their neck slit while fully conscious. They feel all this pain. Their mothers cry out in agony when their babies leave, and you drink the milk that was meant for that baby cow you're eating too. Rethink the way you see the meat industry please, it's much worse than most think. F that Cows Life, not yours.

He sounds like a psycho and you're probably better off without him, but I think what he was trying to get across to you is that the production of veal is really inhumane. It's not just that they cows are young, they have to chain the calf up for the duration of its (short) life so it is unable to move in order for them to taste so tender. That being said, he had no right to tell you to judge you for your choice, what a dick.

Vegans/Vegetarians who appoint themselves as moral authorities are just as bad as religious wingnuts who do the same. Addition to my earlier post (#259): Sorry if it seemed offensive. I just can't stand when people do things like calling eating meat murder, when EVERY OTHER OMNIVOROUS AND CARNIVOROUS ANIMAL DOES IT FAR MORE VICIOUSLY! At least we kill our prey. Other animals may devour it while it is still kicking. A human is healthiest when they have both meat and vegetation (although we could cut down on meat. Everybody needs different amounts, and some have more than they need). Sure, with vitamins, that can help replace the meat, but it still isn't the healthiest. However, I realize that one can still be pretty healthy without eating meat, and I don't mind vegans and vegetarians as long as they don't say things like Meat is Murder or try shoving their ideals down my throat

You were better off anyway. I could never imagine myself dating some militant vegan/vegitarian who demanded that I stop, "cruelly engaging in the senseless murder of innocent animals." Funny how they conveniently forget that animals have been eating animals since the beginning of time, and that if you're going to categorize us humans as animals, then we have the right to eat animals just as much as other animals do.

#265 That argument doesn't really flow. We have a more developed brain and as such are burdened with the responsibility of reasoning. We choose to live in organized society to ensure some rights and so must give up others. (i.e. We talk of things like 'personal property' and incarcerate murderers but give up the right to walk around naked or urinate publicly.) Animals we may be, but our moral compass must point a truer direction that another species' nescience can manage.
