I'm wondering how on earth you just figured this out...did you, for the first time in your career at the company, have the company letterhead in front of you as you sent an e-mail and happen to notice? I can't imagine never seeing anything with the company name...

the company i worked for emphasized "The" at the beginning of the name. Why that makes a difference, I don't know.

Your logic is as poor as your spelling. You misspelt your company name over a year ago when you created your Email signature. You did NOT misspell it over and over for over a year. What a douche.
