Today, I paid $70 to learn from the vet that my cat doesn't have a UTI, he's just developed a fetish for peeing on plastic bags. FML

Take 70 bucks from your pocket BURN IT. Ouch op but at least your cat is healthy and you're a responsible owner. :)

My cat used to do that too before he was neutered. After the surgery he never did it again.

My three year old cat is neutered but he likes licking the water dripping from the sink (even with plenty of fresh water in his bowl) and peeing in my closet. I have to keep all the doors closed if I'm not in the room and he claws at the doors until you let him in the bathroom/closet. Vets say he has a bladder control issue but he uses his littler box just fine and doesn't pee anywhere else.

TIs it an orange cat? The same thing happened to my cat, but we think it was stress. He hasn't peed outside of the litterbox in over a month.

One of my cats does that too and I don't know how to fix it :/ she pees on bags or anything similar like jackets.

Similar thing happened to me. My new kitten had UTI-like symptoms and a swollen incision, so I called the vet who had done her spaying surgery and I asked if the appointment would be no-cost since it was possibly from complications due to a a botched surgery. They said yes. Later, with a smile on her face, the receptionist asked for $200. My mom literally cried. What a scam!
