Today, I paid top dollar for an Italian soda that ended up consisting almost entirely of ice. When I complained, the girl insisted that the soda water stopped the ice from melting. She said she didn't see what the problem was, and threatened to have me thrown out if I didn't "simmer down." FML

I know the waitress is a woman but for some reason I just imagined Cleveland from family guy saying " haaay, y'all need to simmer down or Ima have to throw ya on out"

First of all, that phrase is used entirely too much! Second of all, this is, in no way, ironic.. At all... There's always that one person who says it.. Whether it's relevant or not...

I do believe that they were referring to the "was she hot" comment, not the fml...

The FML is about ice and she asks OP to 'simmer down'. How is that not ironic? You do know what simmer means, right?

Who pays top dollar for some soda in the first place? Water is the best way to go! :D

Well if you were being loud and obnoxious you totally deserve it. But if you were calmly complaining then, FYL .

how did this even make it into the fml's . stop being so whiny if the soda cost sooo much you should have got it no ice so you got more for your money...suck it up or drink cheaper soda!

You should tell her that you will not "simmer down" and it will definitely not be the last time she hears from you when she hears from her manager about her unprofessional behavior. It is one thing to help an unsatisfied customer who is not stepping over the line, and another to tell one who is not creating a scene to get lost.
