Today, I proposed to the love of my life by having the waitress place the ring in her dessert. She ate the whole thing and didn't find the ring. I guess the waitress stole the ring. FML

Or she swallowed it. Just wait a day or so to make sure. Toilet proposals are cute too.

What makes someone think they can get away with something like that? The restaurant she works for would obviously have all her info, it wouldn't be that hard for the police to track her down. Sorry op :( hope you get the ring back or at least had it insured.

I think the ring in the food is an awful way to propose (no girl wants a ring put on her finger that's covered in cake or something), but you still don't deserve it. If you redo the proposal I would suggest another method.. Good luck OP!

wouldn't you have realized the ring was missing before leaving the restaurant? you should have reported the problem to get manager.

Doubt she swallowed it. You would notice if a ring was in your mouth or it scraping your esophagus as it made its way down. The waitress stole it.

If she ate the whole thing and the ring wasn't there what did you do. Was the waitress still there? Did you confront her? I'm sure you didn't just pay the bill and leave?

First off, that's a very, very bad idea. I've heard so many stories about people choking or breaking a tooth while someone tried to give them the ring in some food. Second... er, did you tell her to check her, er, y'know, for the ring? She could of swallowed it. If not, then you need to talk to the owner of the restaurant and call the police.

Damn, FYL. I hope you notified management and got your ring back.

Yea or she may have swallowed it I guess you will have to look in the toilet when she is done

Maybe she just swallowed the ring? Make sure you talk to the manager though.

this is why we can never have nice things...
