Today, I pulled a muscle in my right shoulder and can barely move my arm. My friends keep asking if I'm sure it wasn't from jerking off too much. Truth is, I pulled it by playing on my computer too much. FML

Pleonasm tells us more.

I hold my mouse in an awkward position and my elbow floats in the air, putting the weight on the shoulder. If I play for too long, it aches. But it started when I used a machine to work out and hurt my shoulder doing the butterfly press I think.

What position were you in for that to happen?

Maybe you should've been making puns on FML since I don't see your comments too often anymore.

PC master race must do sacrifices sometimes to show how superior they ate to filthy console pleasants. Long live Gaben our Lord and Saviour.

I feel you OP, when I started playing LoL, my index and middle fingers got hurt. When you get back on track, remember to rest your full arm and have a little cushion to reduce the motion!

In my 30s, I once badly pulled a muscle in my back reaching for the remote control. I'm not horribly out of shape either making it that much more embarrassing.

You should tell them you're a 'lefty'. :P

Yeah, sometimes when I'm riding my Harley I hit a bump hard and it wrenches things out of place. Not a really creative type, are you?

Ouch! I've had the same thing happen to me OP, hope it gets better soon

Heat and ibuprofen will help lots. Good luck, OP.

#86 Actually those can be the worst things for pulled muscles. The heat encourages blood flow to the area, which in turn can make any little tear much bigger as the blood vessels expand. The ibuprofen will slow the clotting of said blood. The two together can make the overall injury super painful and much worse then it was before. Icepacks & specific "back pain" medication without the ibuprofen are best.. From what I hear at least, lol.

Yeah, no. You alternate ice and no ice, 15 minutes on then 15 minutes off, but definitely not heat. If you're just sore but not actually injured then a heating pad will help relax the muscle.
