Today, I pulled an all-nighter to finish rereading my set work for my English exam. I managed to finish earlier than expected and decided to get some sleep. I then promptly slept through my alarm and missed my exam. FML

Number one rule for a student; six alarms is still not enough alarms

That really sucks, but don't they usually let absentees make up tests after class or during lunch periods? Also try setting multiple alarms, each a few minutes after the other. Good luck OP.

This literally just happened to me. I know the feels. although, when I biked like crazy to get to the last 10 minutes, I found out that class had been 10 minutes long. class had been over for 2 hours. :p

Am I the only one bothered by how the poster used the word "promptly?"

Yeah. "Proceeded to" would have been better.

You should have read your study skills info. Hammering the night before is a recipe for failure even if you manage to turn up for the exam. Try different for the retake

Been there, done that. It sucks. But then you probably learned something useful.

How does one "promptly sleep through" anything? You know that means "quickly", right? I don't get how anyone thinks they can quickly sleep through an exam, or anything else. Lol

You need to have an alarm that you don't sleep through. Like mine which plays reveille at full volume

Found something just like that on Reddit

I've done the exact same thing before. Seriously sucks
