As the OP, I find all of this absolutely hilarious!! To address a few questions/comments: the pull-up was the one she was wearing when she was put to bed - she doesn't wear them any other time. I was monitoring her over the one-way baby monitor we have with the volume on full blast, but the pull-up slides up and down, no noise or anything, so that is how she was able to do her stealth-painting. As for being able to get into other things, we keep all of our chemicals in an upper cabinet, no worries there. Plus, if she'd have actually come out of her room without me hearing her, my dog would have ratted her out in a heartbeat! For the pissy commenters, good for you that you are so better at everything than everyone else, your mother must be proud of how nasty and judgemental she's raised you to be. As for those other parents that understand, thank you for being able to find the humor in this disgusting situation with me. If she was doing this daily, I'd be concerned, but since this has so far been a one time thing, I think boredom and wanting the soiled pull-up off her is what caused her to be so...umm...creative. And btw, she drew dinosaurs, her current fascination. And yes, I did a great job cleaning it up after I finished gagging and smearing vicks vaporub all around my nostrils.

You deserve it! Why is ur kid still wearing a diaper with 3 years?! What have u been doing all that time?!
I agree with #119 ydi for your kid to be In a diaper at 3 YEARS OLD!!!!!!
This hasn't happened to us but I'm dreading the day it ever does (my LO is 14 months.) Maybe it's potty training time?
and welcome to parenthood....
Ha! I'm still amused at the "diapers at 3?!?!?!!??!111" comments. What a bunch of idiots. Not every kid is the same. My two year old knows all the letters and numbers in three languages, but she's still in diapers. She just doesn't give a damn about using the potty. She'll get to it. Parents do not potty train children. If you think they do, you're a moron. Kids potty train themselves when it finally dawns on them how things are supposed to work. You can encourage them and try to help them get the idea, but until the notion really gels, you're just beating your head against the wall. Three or four years old is a typical age for a kid to become potty trained. Before that and you're lucky. After four is uncommon, but not unheard of. Some kids are just stubborn asses. One lady I work with couldn't get her kid out of diapers until he was 4 and a half. One day, he just decided - and told her! - that he wasn't going to wear diapers any more, and he didn't. He KNEW what to do all along. He just couldn't be bothered to use the toilet. So get over your know-it-all selves. Kids grow up in a staggering variety of ways. The FML here is that cleaning up a poopy mess from a kid who is eating solid foods is GROSS. (Babies who are still nursing don't make stinky poops; BOTTLE-fed babies make HORRIBLE, gag-inducing, vile poops that would stop a dump truck.)
Apparently, this site needs a "I want to bitch/brag about the horrible things my children do at the right stage of development." 3 is when many kids are being potty trained, and they're old enough to take off their own clothes. YDI for not realizing that you're a parent and this is not a FML, this is just LIFE. Want this to be an FML? Change the kid's age to *13* and it's an FML. Or make it your boyfriend's FML.
