Today, I ran into my serious boyfriend of two years at a restaurant. He was sitting with another girl. I went over and asked him who she was. He replied, "Who are you?" Apparently I was the secret girlfriend. FML

That would mean that you have not met his family or spent enough time or holidays with him to know something was up. You would not know his friends well, you would not be going out in public much, and you would not be having him over to your family's for holidays or anything. YDI if you thought a regular booty-call was a relationship.

Have any of you thought that this guy doesn't live near his family or that perhaps he is estranged or they've passed on? Or that he could lie to his girlfriend and tell her any of those reasons when they are well and fine and local. He is after all a liar. Not everyone spends the holidays with their families either. Some people work or live too far away ( I'm a nurse and work every other holiday.) There are ways to get around it if he's creative enough. Also, plenty of guy friends cover for their buds - cheaters normally surround themselves with like minded friends. She could have easily met his friends and they not tell her. Most people don't. Sorry OP - sucks.
